What Are Your Rates and Policies?
Anchor Learning Solutions is more than a tutoring service. I specialize in intensive, multisensory, 1:1, Orton-Gillingham based interventions designed for each individual struggling reader and writer. My focus is diagnosing and treating the root causes of a learner’s reading and writing struggles, and I bring decades of diagnostic training, experience and success working with children and adults with significant learning challenges. I am PASSIONATE about making a lasting difference in the lives of struggling readers and writers, and am committed to helping each individual reach their potential!
How much do you charge for your services?
Rates reflect the level of specialized interventions and my experience and success at closing the learning gap:
- $200/month (60 min., one time per week)
- $400/month (60 min., two times per week)
For younger learners or others that may find one hour difficult to remain focused:
- $100/month (30 min., one time per week)
- $200/month (30 min., two times per week)
A minimum of 2 sessions per week is recommended to change the root causes of reading and writing difficulties.
How does payment work?
Once you fill in the registration form and we set up the day(s) and time that will work for tutoring, then we will set up an automatic billing system. The recurring payment plan is usually monthly, and is made in advance for that payment period. You will be able to pay with credit card via the secure link on your invoice. Parents and other clients seem to love the convenience of this seamless and secure method. Any processing fees are already factored in to the monthly rate.
New clients will receive more detailed information on how to set-up payment in their welcome packet.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your tutoring sessions are standing appointments. This time is a commitment on your part and on my part. Consistency in tutoring is crucial in closing the learning gap! However, life happens (I’m a parent too), along with the unexpected such as illness and emergencies. Since payments are made in advance, refunds are not offered for cancelled sessions. If you would like to reschedule your session for a different time, I ask for 24-hour notice. It’s the responsibility of the individual(s) who have agreed to the terms of the contract to reschedule the missed lesson. If I’m unable to tutor, it will be my responsibility to reschedule the session with you, and if less than 24 hours notice is given to you, your next session will be free. If you know in advance that you will need to miss a session(s) due to holiday, vacation, or another reason, please give at least a week notice and you will not be charged for that time.
In the rare case where technology issues interfere with the session being effective, then we will reschedule that session.
Being on time, set up on your computer, and ready to begin at the scheduled time in an area free from excessive noise and distractions for each session is essential, as tutoring sessions are often tightly scheduled. If you show up later than the scheduled time, it usually will not be possible to make up that time.
New clients will receive more detailed information on policies and procedures in their welcome packet, and will need to acknowledge they accept the terms.
